Mid-Year Inventory

We make plans and God laughs!

Every intention to act within the operations of H(u)ny Mother has taken immense faith, checking my fears, acknowledging limitations, and allowing the dreams and needs of the community to materialize in the Universe’s time alone. After the community needs assessment survey, I thought I had a clear vision surrounding the direction of HM’s work for the summer. Possibly I did. I can now confirm through trial and error that envisioning, creating, and executing a plan are all relatively different processing that uses different skills.

At the end of the day, this is currently a one-femme-operated show while also juggling motherhood, work, school, and recovery. With all of the immense support from the community spreading the work of HM - the social media, website, programming, events, vending, outreach, networking, funding, and organization are all done by myself currently. I have dreams of expanding the team, and the integrity and mission of the work must stay intact.

All that to say - things are moving a bit slower than anticipated but there has been so much happening in the background to ensure the consistency and quality of the offerings continues to develop and substantiate.

With that, if you are interested in volunteering either in person or virtually fill out this form to begin the process and be considered to receive a $250 stipend.
